2011 Hyundai Equus Sets Digital Precedence

By now we all thought the future would be equipped with flying cars and Jetson inspired homes. Well it’s almost 2011 and I haven’t seen any fly-thru McDonald’s restaurants. However, we’re slowly making advancements and Hyundai may just be one of those game changing automotive companies.

Enter the 2011 Hyundai Equus. From the outside it looks like your typical luxury sedan. Sleek design, clean accents and an attractive grill. But, what most people are unaware of is the perks and features associated with this futuristic sedan.

For starters, every person who buys an Equus receives their own iPad equipped with an owner’s manual. An owner’s manual app?? What’s next a drivers license on your iPhone? Add a front-facing camera on the bumper, massage seats in the back, HD screens with surround sound and you’ve got yourself a pretty sweet ride.

As digital continues to enhance the automotive industry, it will be interesting to see how other car competitors utilize futuristic gadgets. The iPad has become synonymous with the future of technology and continues to break barriers in every industry. Hyundai made the right decision in giving every driver their own. We’ll likely see more car companies include gadget goodies with future purchases of their vehicles.

This is Justin from Media Needle. I think the iPad driver's manual is awesome -- it's a great feature for consumers (plus, a shrewd move from Hyundai to leverage Apple's brand and technology). Here's a video that gives more insight on the iPad driver's manual: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bb3qZHQVe8
