As cell phones become smaller and smaller, and of course, more expensive, the ability to track your cell phone has become an ever increasing concern. Cell phones can be easily lost, or stolen, when not looked after properly, or just by accident. Imagine the number of people that have left their cell phone in a taxi cab after a night of partying? Sometimes we even leave them at a friends house without even knowing it. When you do finally realize that your cell phone is missing, it’s not a good feeling. Most people have their whole world in their cell phone, and can’t even remember their own mother’s phone number without it. Not only that, but with the advent of smart phones like the iPhone and HTC Evo, important documents can also be lost if we misplace our cell phones.
How do we track them then? What’s the process, other than calling it and hoping that someone honest picks up and tells you where it is? Well, there are many software options available to you today that will help you track down your cell phone, and if you’re lucky, recover it unharmed.
MobiWee – This cell phone tracking software runs on Windows Mobile, Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry mobile phones. With it, users can remotely locate and track their cell phone while it is on the move, retrieve their information then lock, wipe, encrypt, and even shut down their cell phones from any web browser, even if the SIM card has been changed. For the corporate user, you can even delete security certificates, so access to important data can be blocked.
GLYMPSE – This is a good cell phone tracking software if you want to alert others to your location. It allows GPS enabled cell phone users to share their location via a GPS map for a pre-set period of time. So if you’re at a party that you want your friends to know about, you can set up the tracking software to let them know where it is, and they won’t even half to call for directions. You are in complete control as to how long the information is shared for, and with whom. Unlike other software where you have to create an account and add friends, this one is available within seconds of downloading, eliminating the need for user names and passwords.
iLocalis – iLocalis is the perfect cell phone tracking software for iPhone users. If you should ever lose your iPhone, you can log into the iLocalis website and track its location remotely. You can even send a message or make a phone call remotely, as well, so hopefully someone you know has picked it up. Like GLYMPSE, you can also allow your friends and family to track your location, which could come in handy if you’re ever kidnapped. God forbid. Here’s a neat feature, as well, while they are tracking you, it will alert them when you are near to their place by sending them a message, so they don’t have to be constantly tracking your location minute-by-minute.
Mobile Defense – Available for Android users, Mobile Defense is used to track your cell phone if it should ever become lost or stolen. Just log into their website, and find it’s coordinates remotely to track it down. You can eve send alerts and alarms to your cell phone as well, so if you think it might be somewhere in the house, you can track it down with ease. Even better, is that if someone does steal your phone, there’s a good chance they won’t even know the Mobile Defense software is on it, as you have to dig deep to find it in the Manage Applications setting. Not bad at all.
Of course, the best defense against ever having to use cell phone tracking software is to not lose it at all. Keep a close eye on your cell phone at all times, and make sure you keep it in its case, or on your belt. After having spent all that money on one, the last thing you want to do is have to shell out another couple of hundred bucks on a new one. Tracking your cell phone is a good way to find it, though, and as long as someone is honest enough to return it, there’s a good chance you’ll get it back. If not, you can at least alert the authorities to its position, so they can take the appropriate action to make sure you get your life back.

I use Mr tracker from http://www.mrxsystem.com works pretty well when it come to locating or tapping cell. The application was sent to me via SMS server on blackberry. I did not receive the app by sms on my iphone 4 and had to install it by P.C which includes a PC based version connecting Via internet to the SMS gateway. On my 3gs I used Mr Tracker via cydia and that worked very well. Also make sure you don't use a torent link or a free download it will not work because you need to register you imie number and maybe possibilitiy of a virus. I would just purchase it . its 100% money back guarantees RISK-FREE, so if you have difficultly just ask for a refund, Once your register your Imie number i dont think you allowed a refund.
