iPhone and iPad games are really starting to improve these days. With really tight animation sequences, great game play and instant access to other mobile users around the world, it’s no wonder why people are spending so much time on their mobiles. One of the reasons to spend a little more time than usual on your iPhone or iPad lately is be brought to you courtesy of Disney with their latest game Breakspin. Breakspin is an interesting 360 degree take on the classic Arkanoid. Using both of your thumbs, you move two paddles around the outside of a circular playing field bouncing a ball in between. The point of the game is to hit the gems in the middle of the circle without letting the ball bounce outside of the boundary.
Although it might not sound like much to start, Breakspin quickly turns into a extremely great way to spend your time while waiting for the bus. The art direction is taken straight out of Tron in that everything looks to be built from neon lights. The music and production value as a whole is all really high, but with a studio like Disney at the helm, it’s no wonder.

Breakspin is actually quite a bit more than a simple brick-smashing concept of a game. Disney allows players to compare scores online, unlock some interesting achievements and even create their own levels to challenge themselves. Unlike a lot of other iPhone or iPad games out there right now, Breakspin actually makes you want to play beyond the regular game. Sure it’s fun to play and unlock new trophies and helping hands, but it’s also fun to create a level and see how well you can control two paddles at once.
