Wasting water has never been a cool thing to do and with all of our modern technology you’d think we’d have some preventable devices that make it easy to save. Enter WaterPebble. This little device has the ability to save water at times when we waste the most. It’s simple and efficient design is actually quite easier to understand. You simply place the Waterpebble in your shower before you start washing. After the initial shower, the water pebble internally records how much water was used. The next time you take a shower, the pebble warns you using traffic light alerts, of how much water you’ve used compared to your last shower.

I’m not all the way caught up on how to conserve water, but this invention seems pretty practical. Taking long showers may be a habit for many of us and with this nice little device, we can be more cautious of how much we waste.
Interestingly enough I was watching a special on the Discovery Channel this weekend about water conservation and how levels keep decreasing from our water sources. The Colorado River, responsible for most the western part of the United States’ water, continues to dip in water levels as our consumption of water grows.
The introduction of the Waterpebble couldn’t have come at a better time. We all need to cutback in our consumption of water and this might be the best way to start!
