Weekly Roundup: Month of Astronomy

This week the tech news was pretty much all about Apple: the antenna problem, the proximity sensor problem, the iTunes store hack, yada, yada, yada.  You get the picture. Well, we’ll get to that soon enough. But what you may not know is that this month is the month of astronomy and Star Walk is promoting that through their app and web page, giving away free apps on up to an iPod Touch 8GB before it’s all said and done. I don’t know about you, but that’s worth a little time spend under the moonlight! (And stargazing is fun anyway!) From there we’ll cover a few smartphone stories surrounding not just the iPhone 4, but also the Google Nexus One, which is apparently being pulled from the market. To wrap it all up, we’ll show you how to make a life-sized paper replica of yourself (good for all those special photo opportunities) and take a look at the latest “tower” game, entitled ‘Star Wars: Battle for Hoth’, which debuted this week on the iPhone. Enjoy your weekend and well be back next week, same bat time, same bat channel.
