The first map pack released for Modern Warfare 2 was a huge success. Another map pack was announced in May and the release date is now upon us.
“Resurgence Pack” will add five new maps to the game and is set to be released today. The question on every game fan’s mind is “What time?” Unfortunately though, the folks behind the game are staying hush hush on it. ”The #MW2 Resurgence Package will be available later today. No exact time being given but I’ll let you know when it’s available for everyone,” wrote Xbox Live’s director of programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb on Twitter early Thursday morning. “The title update for #MW2 is now being rolled out to all Xbox LIVE users. It may be a few hours until everyone has it.” The roll out has already apparently started, but it will still take several hours before the package is available to everyone.
Those who play the game on the PC or PS3 will have to wait a bit longer before the downloadable content is available to them, so hang tight.
Those on Xbox LIVE get it today (lucky ducks).
Be patient folks. If anyone remembers when the first map pack named “Stimulus Package” dropped, the title update didn’t go through correctly. Customers were mad as heck when they weren’t to load everything and ended up no where. Microsoft is doing it’s best to make sure this map pack goes through smoothly.
